Workplace safety is a shared responsibility and requires compliance, awareness and considerate behavior to protect the public. This attitude also helps maintain operational continuity and fulfill the Minsitry of Development's mission and vision as well as compliance with the law. To raise awareness among officers and staff of the Public Works Department, PWD regarding the Workplace Safety and Health Act, an Awareness Campaign for the PWD Staff was held on 6th January morning. Organised by the Human Resources Development Division, the Department of Administration and Finance, PWD, held a two-day briefing at the PWD Headquarters. More than a hundred PWD officers and staff attended the campaign which included a briefing titled "Safety and Health Standards and Welfare at Work". The briefing will continue on 7th January.
